Activision have announced that they are bringing a game based on the hit TV show Wipeout to Kinect. Wipeout In The Zone will have players running, jumping and dodging obstacles as they make their way through crazy courses featured in the show.
“The ABC hit show Wipeout continues to thrill a growing fan base of viewers with hilarious new obstacles. Everyone who watches the show wishes they could try the obstacle course – and now this is their chance!” said David Oxford of Activision Publishing.
Players can run the entire course in one go, making their way through 30 obstacles and challenges such as bouncing across the infamous big red balls, or trying to avoid being hit by the smack wall. The game will also feature the commentary of the TV show's hosts John Anderson, John Henson and co-host Jill Wagner.
"Not only is this new 'Wipeout' game filled with even more humor, spills and thrills, but now the entire family can play interactively with the new full motions capabilities. This game introduces a new level of excitement for Wipeout fans of all ages to play." said David Goldberg, Chairman of Endemol North America.
Wipeout In The Zone will be available for Kinect this summer, launching in conjunction with the new series of the TV show.
