Top Angler: Bass Fishing Coming To Kinect

Japanese developer InterOne are developer Top Angler: Bass Fishing, a new version of a Playstation 2 and Gamecube game that shares the same title, for the Xbox 360 and Kinect. Aside from the obvious fishing gestures that will be utilized to control the rod and reeling, the game makes good use of Kinect's capabilities. Whilst controlling your rod with your hands, you can move the boat using voice commands, and zoom by moving your head closer to the TV.

As well as voice and gesture control, the game will make ample use of Kinect's camera. Not only will the game allow you to save and upload pictures of yourself standing proudly with your newly caught fish overlayed in your arms, the game can also use your face to customize the angler characters face.

There's no release date given, and no promise that it'll ever see the light of day in the west, but it's certainly a niche genre and the west is Kinect's biggest market so hopefully you'll be able to take a break from rafting, running and stretching soon and relax to some quality virtual fishing.
