Download Air Band Now For Free!

The Kinect Fun Labs gadget Air Band which lets you and a friend play virtual instruments that appear on screen overlayed onto Kinect's video stream, is now available for free.

The gadget previously cost 240 Microsoft Points, a price some thought too high for a small app (taking into consideration the price of Xbox Live Indie Games which regularly launch at 80 points)

It's unclear how long the offer will last. Download the gadget now via Kinect Fun Labs on your Xbox 360, or online by clicking here.

Air Band Hitting Kinect Fun Labs Next Week!

Air Band, the next gadget to hit Kinect Fun Labs, will be available from August 22nd.

As we previously speculated, Air Band is the new name for Music In Motion from Relentless Software, allowing users to play a variety of virtual instruments and genres by air-playing instruments overlayed onto the player on screen.
Kinect Fun Labs: Microsoft captured the world’s imagination at E3 2011 with the announcement of Kinect Fun Labs, a dedicated hub showcasing the latest Kinect innovations. The latest Gadget, “Air Band,” introduces new Augmented Reality technology to Kinect and places you on stage as the star of your living room with a guitar, drums or keyboard. “Air Band” will be unveiled at gamescom and available in Kinect Fun Labs on 22nd August, 2011.
We expect that there will be new footage and information about the game over the coming days. In the mean time, here's some previously released footage.

Fun Labs Gadget 'Music In Motion' Renamed 'Air Band'? Video Inside!

The keen-eyed folks at Siliconera have spotted Kinect Fun Labs - Air Band on the German USK Rating site. The upcoming gadget is almost certainly the already-announced Music In Motion, the gadget from Relentless Software which sees players form, well, an air band.

Although there is no official announcement of the gadget, it's unlikely that two "air band" titles would be scheduled to hit the Fun Labs so close together, so we can assume that Air Band and Music In Motion are one and the same.

We'll let you know as soon as any official news is revealed. Until then, check out some footage of Music In Motion curiously uploaded to Relentless Software's YouTube channel today.

First Gameplay Footage of Fun Labs Gadget Music In Motion

Relentless Softwares upcoming Kinect Fun Labs gadget, Music In Motion, lets you form a virtual band, playing through 5 different genres on a variety of instruments. Revealing gameplay details a month ago, we now have our first peek at gameplay.

As promised, the game features no tutorials, no levels, no scores and no difficulty -- it's all about feeling the music, and just jamming with friends; taking the air guitar mentality to its natural evolution with Kinect.

With Kinect Sparkler and Avatar Kinect hitting the Fun Labs any day now, and the winner of the Gadget Election unveiled soon, it looks like the gadget hub is going to be updated quickly and often.

Upcoming Kinect Fun Labs Gadget "Music In Motion" lets you Form a Virtual Band

As we have previously reported Relentless Software, developers of hit Playstation quiz franchise Buzz!, are working on a Kinect Fun Labs gadget called "Music in Motion".

The software will let you play a range of instruments including drums, keyboard and guitar across 5 different genres including Disco and Country.
